Brian Douglas Photography, LLC, is collaborating with Emerald Eden to offer charter and photography packages. These cruises are limited to six people. The destination options are Spectre Island, Crab Island, Destin Harbor, and Bay Dolphin Cruise. We provide an onboard cooler with ice and water. A paddle board is available for an additional $25. A 25% deposit is required to secure the date and time for your charter and photography. Your edited photographs will be ready in three weeks (possibly less).
As a seasonal business, all bookings are subject to a strict 72-hour cancellation policy. The charge will not be refunded if you cancel within 72 hours of your cruise: no show, no call, no refund.
If the weather is unfavorable and the Captain calls off the activity, the tour may be rescheduled for a later time, or a full refund will be issued. This decision is at the Captain's discretion. Temperature, the color of the water, and overcast days do not apply to a weather-related cancelation.
When you book a trip, your card will be charged the total amount of the trip as a deposit to reserve your spot. If you must cancel the trip, this deposit may be refunded in accordance with the cancellation policy.
Yes! A 15-20% tip is industry standard. Your Captain works hard to make sure you have a great time, and a tip lets them know that you appreciate the effort they put in to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
We include a USCG-licensed captain, Bluetooth speaker, a lily pad over 12' long, a cooler filled with ice, and Coast Guard Approved life jackets, and an experience that will never be forgotten!
Towels, sunscreen, swimsuits, coverups, drinks, snacks, water games, and floats are all recommended. Your Captain will have an air pump on board to make inflating your floats a breeze. You may also want to bring cash for Crab Island vendors if you would like to use their services and gratuity for the Captain and crew (optional, but customary and appreciated!).
For Sure! We will provide a cooler filled with ice, and we encourage ya'll fill it with your favorite food and drinks. Crab Island is a BYOB area. Take full advantage of having a Captain responsible for your safety and operating the vessel while you enjoy peace of mind on the water.
The boat's maximum capacity is 6 people, per the standards set by the Coast Guard. The boat is designed to provide a private and luxurious experience. For groups of more than 6 adventurers, call 850-499-1512 or email cptrob@emeraldedencharters.com to book multiple boats.
Yes, The United States Coast Guard counts every living, breathing person on the boat as a passenger on the vessel. We are legally only allowed to carry a certain number of passengers (plus Captain and crew).
We operate out of Beach Weekend in Fort Walton Beach! The pickup location for your cruise will be included in your confirmation email.
Yes! So many days here in Destin look precisely like the beautiful photos on our website and other marketing materials. However, you should be aware that all of our water adventures are outdoors and influenced by Mother Nature. Many days the water is crystal clear and aquamarine; others are not. Though we hope every day is perfect, we do not control the wind, waves, tides, clouds, rain, or underwater sea life.
Although it is extremely rare not to see dolphins on a cruise, it happens occasionally. Dolphins are wild animals. Somedays, they are shy, off stealing fresh catch from a fisherman, and simply hard to find. We spend every day on the water, allowing us to know their favorite spots and habits according to the time of day. Dolphins love to keep us on our toes, but we always make a valiant effort trying to find them!
The majority of your charter is usually spent on Crab Island. However, this is YOUR private charter! We can take you to look for dolphins, cruise through the Sound and visit Specter Island, drive to restaurants on the water, or go sightseeing in Destin Harbor and go to Crab Island. The Captain is here to take you on your adventure and for you to have peace of mind on the water!
No, Crab Island has no licensed vendors to purchase alcoholic beverages. Beer, Wine, and Liquor are allowed at crab island, but it is BYOB. Feel free to bring any beverage you choose; you have a Captain responsible for your safety and operating the vessel while you enjoy peace of mind on the water!
